365 Days

I'm a little late writing this post. Partially because we have been insanely busy living life and party planning and partially because writing Molly June's 1 year post is a big deal to me.  I did not want to be rushed.

Dearest Molly June:

I've always hoped for a precious baby girl and in your one year of life you have already filled our lives with more joy than I knew to be possible.  You are a sweet yet assertive girl - the perfect combination.  You are smart, love to laugh, and have started to dance whenever you a hear a little tune.  You are simply a joy to be around.  Being your mommy has been the best and most fulfilling job I have had thus far and you know how to turn any "bad day" around for me.

Watching you grow this year has been a true blessing and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you. Daddy and Mommy love you to the moon and back and cannot wait to watch you grow into the amazing young lady you are destined to be.  All our love, Little Miss Sunshine.

Mommy

When I say the past few months have been busy, I really mean it.  Work trips, weddings, vacations, 1st birthdays, family in town.....we have done it all!  Here are a few highlights of the past few months and Molly's Birthday/1 year stats.  I'm not sure I will keep up with the monthly posting after this but I sure am going to try!

The day before Molly's bday we headed to Napa for my "big sister" Jessica's wedding.  Her and Vince make an amazing couple and we had so much fun.  Angela and William were our travel buddies and they were the best.

Ang put it perfectly "This is what I imagine heaven being like"=)

My Mom aka Gigi watched Molly while I was away.  Mimi and Grandpa also came to visit.  Needless to say, Molly was not void of attention while we were away=)

Here was the birthday princess on her actual birthday at daycare.  Gigi gave her a blueberry muffin in the morning as a treat and I hear it didn't last long.

When we got back, MJ had her 1 year appt=)
We had MJ's bday party the weekend after her real birthday.  Lots of people came in town for the big day.  Nanni, Papa B, Gigi, Mimi, Grandpa G, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Nancy, Uncle Brian. Uncle Tay, Aunt Megan, Aunt Liddy and then pretty much the whole Atlanta crew.  It was quite the occasion!  Everyone pitched in to make my watermelon extravaganza vision come to life and I was so happy with the way it turned out.  Though Molly may not remember it, I hope she looks back at pictures and smiles at all of the love that went into her special day.

Digging In
What a great day it was!  I am so grateful for everyone near and far who came to help celebrate Molly's day.  It meant so much to Mike and I and I will always look back fondly on this milestone.

After the party, our family left in waves.  It was sad for everyone to go....but we weren't alone for long.  The next weekend was 4th of July and my dad's side of the family was coming for round 2 Molly celebrations. Dad, Robynne, Aunt Courtney, Uncle Justin, Uncle Tay, Aunt Megan, Cousin Olivia, and puppy cousin Beau were all in attendance.  It was a busy house around here but we had so much fun!

The week after 4th of July I was off to NYC for a work trip.

I don't think Mike or I got much sleep while I was away (for different reasons) and we both decided that being a single parent would be the hardest job ever.

Finally, we were reunited as a family of 3 (sorry Red Bull) and had a few weekends to regroup and relax.

Here are a few random pictures I love and didn't add elsewhere.

Now for 12 months pictures which you will see were no easy feat to take.

As for milestones and stats:
Weight: 22 lbs 75th percentile
Height: 28 inches 25th percentile
Head Circ: 95%
Teeth: Right around 13 months your top right tooth started poking through so you don't look quite as "vampire-ish" anymore=).  I think that brings us up to a grand total of 6 teeth at the moment.
Other: Molly started walking exactly one week before her 1st birthday!  Of course her 1st steps were taken at daycare but she was sure to show off for us as soon as she got home.  Also, Molly has been much more talkative lately and of course my favorite moment was a few weeks ago when she came walking towards me saying "mamamama".  My heart melted.

Also, here is the picture of the chalkboard we had made for MJ's party.  Some of the stats are a little off since we had to guesstimate since it was before her doctor's appointment.  Close enough=)

Thanks for sticking with me on this long post.  Until next time...

xoxo
