Welcome to our little family blog. Molly June is our little ray of sunshine and we wanted to make sure we were documenting her life so we can look back on it as she grows.
One thing in our lives seems to remain constant these days, we are always busy! Though I enjoy the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I want to make sure to "slow down" this year and enjoy all of the little moments. Molly is growing up so fast and I want to truly soak in all of the adorable, frustrating, hilarious, and joyful moments.
We were lucky to spend Molly's 2nd Thanksgiving in beautiful Hilton Head again. The older I get, the more I appreciate this wonderful tradition and location that my Mimi and Grandpa live in. We took Molly to the beach last year. But this year, she was able to run around on her own and that made it so much better. Of course I couldn't pass up on an opportunity to match my girl=)
We also took Molly to the little petting zoo. She was NOT a fan of the animals surprisingly. Even though she loves cows in books and knows what sound they make, in real life she found them to be quite scary. She did however like watching the big kids play at the playground. This is the same playground my brother and I used to play on when we were little=).

Molly was pretty indifferent to Santa last year but I had a feeling that would not be the case this year. We confirmed that by attending our neighborhood's annual Christmas party. Molly was simply not a fan. I knew this wouldn't bode well for our annual Santa at Phipps tradition..
We went on a date to Nordstrom afterwards and we had a blast
Molly has a bit of a mullet at the moment but I'm loving her longer locks=)
In our Christmas Tee
The front of our Christmas Cards - love that joyful face=)
Waiting in line for Santa at Phipps. This is what she did when I asked her to smile.
The calm before the storm...
I sure hope Molly can look back and laugh one day about this video. It seems to drag on forever here but in real life it seemed much shorter. Haha....
I got to meet this little fellow right before Christmas. Mr. Beckman sure is cute!
At the JLL Christmas Party 2014. Compliments of Ms. Willett=)
Right before Christmas, Molly had her 18 month Appointment. Her stats have remained pretty consistent as far as percentiles go:
Weight: 23 lbs 13 oz (75th %)
Height: 31.75 inches (50th %)
Head Circumference: 19.13 inches (95th %)
Teeth: Starting to lose count. When I try putting my fingers in her mouth she bites down so I can't take the risk anymore haha. She went almost 6 months with no new teeth but now they are coming in quite rapidly.
Words: This girl is a talker. She says so many things and even forms short sentences. Just to name a few favs: "elmo" "no more monkeys" "Hi Daddy/Mommy" "towel" "up" "sit" "snack (probably her favorite word" "all done" "book" "duck" "mouse" "rock" "ball" "outside" "jacket" "I did it" "bubble (her word for Red Bull" "banana" "food" "fork" "spoon" "milk" "socks" "shoes" "boots"
Eating: Still quite the good eater. She can be hit or miss with what she will eat but overall compared to others her age, we are quite lucky. She still eats vegetables, loves fruit, most meats, and anything covered in tomato sauce. She is doing quite well with her spoon and fork and gets mad if you try to help her. As evidenced below, she loves to make a mess. I think her favorite foods are bananas, cheese, and any kind of "snacky" food.

Christmas Day Dinner. Once again, trying to be domestic. Prime rib, green beans, and sweet potato mash...and wine=)
We missed our extended family but we loved our low key Christmas with our little fam
One of the best parts of not traveling for the holidays this year was all of the quality time we spent together. We had many fun days outside (when weather permitted).
Playing with her princess tent from Nana and Papa
Dad bought her a golf set
Her new baby stroller
I was probably 6 months older than Molly here but I loved this comparison shot. I think she's mine;)
My mom came to visit a few days after Christmas. We had such a nice time spending time with Molly, getting our nails done/massages, and just catching up. Also, we were able to go out with some friends on NYE since we had a babysitter. It was a nice treat.

Had to take this pic since we matched;)
After her 2nd stomach bug in 3 weeks....she got this random rash. Luckily she recovered quickly.
I hated to leave Molly as she was just recovering from her sickness but she was in good hands with Daddy and Lydia and I planned an impromptu trip to Santa Monica to visit Lynsey for her 30th. We had a blast (minus getting sick) and catching up with friends and the beach are definitely good for your soul. I love these girls with all my heart.
Taking an Uber to lunch on the beach
Santa Monica is gorgeous

I love her silly faces.
Queen of the castle and our hearts
That gets us pretty well caught up through 19 months for little miss Molly June. We are looking forward to a fun end of winter and beginning of spring with lots of fun trips and visits from grandparents.
