The final countdown.....

It's officially the final countdown until Molly's 1st birthday.  We have been SO busy over the past month and a half that the time has flown by at lightning speed.

The end of April Molly went on her first plane trip to see her family up in State College.  She got to meet her Great Grandma Angie for the first time which was a real treat.  Also, she got to meet her cousins Albert and Carter.  They had lots of fun playing together.  Unfortunately Molly was a little under the weather which meant lots of crankiness and a trip to urgent care.  None the less, we had a great time!

Here is a pic from the shin dig Elaine and Berrena threw for Molly:
We were so lucky to have family from near and far to come visit.  We are very grateful to have these people in our lives.

On the way back to Pittsburgh Airport, we noticed Molly's eye was getting a bit goopy.  By the time we landed in Atlanta, it looked really bad.  Mike and I decided it was best to go to urgent care (second time in a weekend) so that she could get on meds asap.  They do not let you back to daycare until 24 hours after medication starts.  The good news is that Molly's eyes responded very quickly to the medicine and was almost back to normal within 24 hours!
Poor sick baby
When we got back, we got to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary (thanks to Lauren babysitting) and I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day!  We went to a nice brunch and then took Molly to the park.  A perfect day with my loves!

Mother's Day Fun!
The next few weeks consisted of lots of work trips for Mike and I.  First Mike was in Boston for a leadership training and then I was in Washington D.C. for work.  I had a quick layover in Atlanta on my way back and then headed straight to Tampa for Megan's bridal shower.  I missed Molly and Mike so much but we had a great time in Tampa celebrating Megan!

Out to dinner at Lauro's with the beautiful bride to be!
Love these ladies
After we I got back from Tampa, it was Mike's turn to head out of town again.  Mike went to Vegas for 3 nights to celebrate Taylor's bachelor party.  Based on the limited stories I've heard, they had a great time.  While Mike was busy partying, my Mom came up for a visit and to help me with Molly.  We had lots of fun and got to take Molly in the pool for the first time.  She LOVED it.  Such a water baby.

Molly got lots of attention from her Gigi and did lots of showing off like climbing up the stairs and getting into everything=).  I think Gigi was smitten.
The Joyners came to join in on the pool time fun

Finally this past week, our family of 3 was reunited.  It is so nice to be back together again!  The work week was crazy but thankfully it was a short one thanks to Memorial Day.  We have had a pretty relaxing weekend but we did go to a friends 3rd birthday party and spend some time at the pool and playground.
I've also been frantically ordering the final touches for MJ's bday and getting the house in order for the big day.

Only a couple weeks until Mike and I leave for Napa which makes me excited and nervous all at once.  I want to have as much done for the party before I leave since there are only 4 days between when we get back and her party!!!

Now for Molly's 11 months photos and a few other favs from the past month.

The last pic pretty much sums it up. Molly will not stay still and if you try to make her, she will let you know how unhappy she is.  She is also not the biggest fans of the bows anymore. Boo. haha.

Testing out watermelon before her party.  Safe to say she liked it=)

Hamming it up.  She knows Mamma is always snapping pics
Had to take this photo bc she finally fits in her Chuck Taylors=)
This past week, my talented friend Caroline (Willett Photograpahy) came by to snap some pics of MJ before she turns one.  Molly was very busy and did not want to sit still  but Caroline still managed to capture some beautiful moments!

My heart is so full from this precious little lady!
"Take this thing off!"

Sweet little lady
Taking a break from all the posing
Here are Molly's stats for this month (to the best of my knowledge):
Weight: 21ish lbs
Height: No clue
Teeth:  4 but we think another 2 are close
Walking: So close.  She can go from sitting to standing without pulling up on anything.  She will stand for about 10 seconds and then succumb to crawling.  Could be any day....
Words:  Still predominately says "dada".  Sometimes says "baba" or "yaya" which I tell myself could mean "mama" to her;).
Other items of note:  Still loves to wave, stick her tongue out, make noises while moving her hand over her mouth, loves to open and close cabinets and drawers, and we now know she loves swimming.
Eating:  Still haven't found a food she won't eat!
Napping:  Still taking an am and pm nap.  I hope this stays true until after her first birthday party so she isn't too cranky!

Been such a fun month, can't wait to see what the future holds for this little lady!
